Alan began his music career DJing hip hop and downtempo around the Chicago area in the late 1990s. His debut album "Mountains Rise" was released under the moniker DJ Anomaly in 2003. From 2005 through 2010 he released 5 more albums on his own record label SGE Records which he operates with longtime collaborator Ben Geerts. His music has also been licensed for use by HBO, Showtime, Bravo, Google, VH1, CrossFit, ESPN, Nike, ABC, PlayNetwork, NBA, Red Bull, and others. Alan Stuart would consider his influences to be classic artists such as DJ Premier, DJ Shadow, Kraftwerk, Boards of Canada, and DJ Sneak.
